In the 18th century, monks in the forests of Prussia invented this small and practical portable sundial, which shows the time according to the sun’s altitude.
Turn the sliding ring until the hole shows the current month.
Hang the clock side with the small hole in the direction of the sun. A sharp point of light appears on the time scale inside the ring and indicates the true local time, with the morning hours on the left and the afternoon hours on the right.
